Small bore pipe inspections

Videoscopes, such as the Olympus IPLEX system, utilized by UTS to inspect small bore pipes use the very latest in optical and digital technology, and are rapidly becoming the instruments of choice for most of this type of application. The image is obtained via precision Olympus lenses and a high resolution color CCD camera in the objective end of the instrument, ensuring the highest quality, brightest images available. Illumination is provided by an integral high-intensity light source, through a non-coherent fiber bundle to the tip of the instrument.

The use of dedicated reporting, recording and still image software allows UTS to carry out inspections in pipes as small as 5/8" ( to a depth of 30 feet) returning high quality data for client assesment.
