GROUTING SLEEVE is an advanced stainless steel sleeve for sewer repair. Its installation is considered a very simple process. Highly resistant to chemical attack, GROUTING SLEEVE restores a damaged sewer to its original design life. manufactured with a chemically resistant stainless steel alloy that can endure normal domestic sewage environment for at least 100 years without losing its original design strength.
GROUTING SLEEVE combines structural core with water-activated Grout for sealing and external load distribution to the core.
Structural Strength
In majority of cases only a single sleeve is used. The Sealant expands and combines broken pipe pieces into a strong and resilient new composite pipe reinforced by SST. If combined with broken pipe arch, the repaired pipe strength exceeds that of a new pipe.
If replacement is required, a double sandwich walled sleeve is recommended. For replacement, the double walled repair sleeve can be deliberately chosen to withstand design loads of a new pipe.
GROUTING SLEEVE data
Standard sleeves are designed for 5-psi. 0.33 bar. 33kPa external hydraulic pressure with factor of safety of 2.5 to 3.
Structural strength design of a sleeve conforms to AWWA M11 Standards for Flexible Tunnel Liners.
A repair remains flexible and reduces damage caused by moving loads and earthquakes.
The service life of a sleeve is designed to outlast the service life of any host pipe.
The sealant for the sleeve is carried to the repair site by the absorbent gasket of the sleeve.
The sleeve is mounted on a compressed air plug and dragged to the repair site by a cable. Sometimes the cable is attached directly to the CCTV unit.
The sleeves are presently made for 4" (100mm) to 54" (1350mm) diameter pipe repair.
GROUTING SLEEVE is the trade mark of Link Pipe Ltd.
GROUTING SLEEVE is protected by US, Canadian, PCT and several other patents.
